Steve returns to Leigh following a 54 game spell in Whitehaven. The winger scored nine tries in 24 appearances for Haven during 2007 and was part of the squad that helped the Centurions win promotion in 2004, scoring six tries before a season ending injury.
Maden agreed a Super League deal and was one of Leigh's better performers in 2005, clocking up nine tries and also weighing in with valuable defensive work.
Maden originally trained with Leigh in 2000 with view to joining their academy team but Warrington moved in for his signature. Steve spent the next two seasons with the Wolves and made his first team debut in 2002 before moving to St Helens. Limited opportunities then saw him move to Leigh. Steve now has over 100 senior career appearances to his name and prior to the start of 2008 had scored 41 tries.
