Biography:
Irish international Lee Doran is a fine addition for Leigh this season. An athletic, tough and durable forward, Doran looks set to complement the Centurions pack this season.
After making over 100 appearances for Oldham, Lee went on to clock a further fifty-plus games with Rochdale Hornets and joined Widnes Vikings for their 2007 season. Although a second row by trade, Doran can also lock the scrum and play in the centres if required.
Last season he was one of the cornerstones of the Widnes squad, scoring five tries. His form helped the Vikings win the Northern Rail Cup, secure second spot in the league and reach the National League One Grand Final. He made over 30 appearances for the Cheshire club, while his performances for Ireland helped them qualify for the 2008 World Cup. Lee is currently contracted to the club for one season.
