It will be a case of back to basics for Chris in 2008. The young front or second row added a further 19 appearances to his growing first team tally in 2007 but rarely reached the heights of his breakthrough season.
Like John Cookson, Hill has played for the club since 2004, coming through the Junior Academy. In 2005 Hill was rewarded with a long term contract and debuted for the club in Super League. 29 games and 12 tries followed in 2006.
Unfortunately niggling injuries and the club’s inconsistent form contributed to a frustrating season. Training and playing alongside the likes of Andy Hobson, John Hill and Lee Doran is sure to bring Chris back to the form that saw him selected by England Academy to take on the Australian schoolboys in 2006.
