Chris is an exciting forward
prospect whose rise through the Coliseum ranks last season was nothing
short of phenomenal. Having only just turned 18 and standing at 6’3 he
has the size and frame to make a big impression. Fine footwork, defence
and a solid work ethic mark him out as one to watch. His attributes mean
that he can play anywhere in the forwards, although his best games have
come from second row. He was even pressed into service at centre for
both Under-21s and 18s last term, eventually earning his spurs in Super
League against a formidable St Helens side.
His outstanding form was
rewarded with a fulltime contract last season. If Chris continues his
development, he could well emerge as the best second rower from the
junior ranks since Simon Baldwin.
