Heremaia
is an exciting new face on the British RL scene this season, hoping to
make a name for himself at Leigh after two years in the NSW Premier
League with Wests Magpies and North Sydney Bears. He is the first New
Zealand scrum-half to play for Leigh since Kiwi test ace Shane Varley.
A halfback with a fine kicking game, Aaron will be hoping to make real
progress behind the Centurions big pack. He previously played for Tony
Benson at the Hibiscus Coast Raiders and was a Junior Kiwi
representative in 2001. Since crossing the Tasman, Heremaia became a
regular for the New Zealand Maoris, scoring two tries in their autumn
test series against the Cook Islands.
