Dean is an exciting player
signed on a two year contract from Warrington Wolves during the close
season. He made his first team debut as an 18 year old in 2002 and
whilst with the Wolves, Gaskell became a Super League regular, making 59
appearances in the top division and 62 in total. Gaskell is also an
Ireland international, recently representing the Wolfhounds in their
Autumn Euro Nations series. He is a strong and forceful runner with
solid positioning sense, good hands and pace over 50 metres.
Dean is expected to challenge
for the wing and fullback positions this season, presenting Leigh boss
Tony Benson with great versatility for the clubs backline.
